Diplomatic Reception

Please join us for our diplomatic reception, on March 8 at 7 P.M.. This final component of our annual CARE Conference and International Women’s Day Celebration will be graciously hosted by our International Chair, Ambassador of Indonesia, His Excellency Dino Patti Djalal and Mrs. Djalal.  Dr. Djalal has served as the Ambassador of Indonesia to the United States since 2010. Previously, he held the position of Special Staff for International Affairs and Presidential Spokesperson for President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono from 2004 to 2010. This event serves to highlight the diplomatic relationships and recognize the individual and corporate philanthropy that make CARE’s work possible.  It also serves to honor individuals who have helped bring greater awareness to the global development dialogue. Guests will include the Diplomatic Corps, members of Congress, and members of the Administration, senior corporate executives, CARE donors, social Washington and senior CARE staff.  Opening remarks and addresses will be provided by CARE President and CEO Helene Gayle as well as our corporate sponsors.
